Dispatches – Saving Africa’s Witch Children produced by Red Rebel Films and Oxford Scientific Films for Channel 4 (UK) Wins Current Affairs
New York, September 21, 2009 – The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced today the 2009 International Emmy® Awards winners for its News and Current Affairs categories.
The ITV News-China Earthquake coverage for the UK, of the biggest earthquake in China in the last 30 years capturing the terrifying ordeal of the survivors, won the News Category.
Dispatches – Saving Africa’s Witch Children, a Special produced by Red Rebel Films and Oxford Scientific Films for Channel 4 (UK) depicting the plight of Nigerian children accused of being witches, won the Current Affairs Category.
The International Emmys were presented to the winners by Bruce L. Paisner, President & CEO of The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in New York City on September 21, 2009.

Nominees for ten other International Emmy Awards categories will be announced October 5 at Mipcom in Cannes, France. Winners will receive their awards at the 37th International Emmy® Awards Gala, November 23, in New York City.
