Cannes/MIPCOM, October 8, 2012 – Nominations for the first International Emmy Kids Awards were announced today by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at a Press Conference at Mipcom. There are 24 nominees in 6 categories. The full list of Nominees follows this release. Winners will receive their Emmys at the inaugural International Emmy Kids Awards, on February 8, 2013 in New York City.
Nominations span 13 countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, The Netherlands and The United Kingdom. The 2012 International Emmy competitions have three rounds of judging over a period of 6 months, with participation from jurors across 67 countries.

Paisner, President & CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. “In recognition of this, the International Academy is pleased to have created these new awards and we look forward to the first International Emmy Kids Awards ceremony, in February 2013.”
The International Emmy Kids Awards presenting partners are: Shaw Rocket Fund, Hasbro Studios, SVT/DRTV, TV Kids and Ernst & Young. The ceremony will take place at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers.
