TV Kids Named Media Partner of International Emmy® Kids Awards

New York, January 30th, 2012 – The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced today that TV Kids has become the media partner of the International Emmy Kids Awards, which will take place for the first time in February 2013.

As media partner of the International Emmy Kids Awards, TV Kids will provide coverage of the event in print, and online on TVKids.ws and in TV Kids Weekly. In addition, the January/February edition of TV Kids will be available in the gift bags distributed at the International Emmy Kids Awards.

The media partnership builds on a decade-long association between the International Academy and World Screen for the publication of the International Emmy Almanac.

Six new categories have been created for this event: Kids: Preschool; Kids: Animation; Kids: Factual; Kids: Non-Scripted Entertainment; Kids: Series, and Kids: TV Movie/Mini-Series. The inaugural awards ceremony is scheduled for February 2013 in New York City. Entries into the kids competition will run concurrent with The International Emmy Awards competition which opened December 6th and closes February 15th, 2012.
