JCS International Young Creatives Award
1 Minute Video Competition for Peace
The JCS International Young Creatives Award was designed to discover, recognize and foster young talent from around the world while creating a global conversation around Peace.
The three (3) Winners will be invited to attend the 50th International Emmy® Awards events in New York, from Friday, November 18 to Monday, November 21, 2022.
The 1-minute video competition is free to enter and open to Non-American Citizens, aged 18-29 (Dual Citizens are eligible). The 2022 competition opened June 30, 2022 and closed September 8, 2022. Public online voting began on September 15, 2022 and closed on September 22, 2022 at 12:00 noon ET.
The 2022 Theme is "Stand Up for Peace!".

2019 JCSI Young Creatives Award Winners
Theme: Stand Up for Peace
The three 2019 JCSI Young Creatives Awards Winners were announced October 1, 2019, and were presented with their Awards November 23, 2019 at The International Emmy® World Television Festival in New York City.
- What Am I Voting on? 1 Minute Videos on the theme "Stand Up For Peace - Women & Men United for Change" created by young creatives aged 18-29 from across the globe.
- When Can I Vote? Online Public Voting Closes September 22 at 12:00pm Noon (ET)
- How Many Times Can I Vote? A person can Vote only once for any given Entry. However, they can Vote for multiple different Entries.
- What Happens Next? Once the Online Public Voting has closed, the twenty (20) videos (One (1) per individual participant) with the most Votes on the judging portal will move on to the Final Round of Judging, along with three videos selected by the Academy. During the Final Round a panel of jurors will score the videos based on the original story illustrating the theme of the year "Stand Up For Peace - Women & Men United for Change"; characters and how they are developed; creativity; and knowledge of craft. The three Winners will be notified September 30, 2021.

Summary: The narrative revolves around a young boy who reflects on what peace means to him. The project is centered around the importance of teaching the younger generations about peace and how it positively impacts society as a whole. The youth plays a pivotal role in shaping the world that we live in, therefore, in these troubled times, the value of peace increases as it is a commodity to society.

Summary: Devil’s Ivy is a short film on the challenges and opportunities for peacemaking in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. As the invisible coronavirus speeds across the globe, it reveals issues embedded in our society long before the contagion. However, quarantine has also made us cherish the warmth of family bonds and mutual cooperation across nations. After all, resilience and compassion are the foundation of our humanity.

The theme, "Stand Up for Peace" can be freely interpreted. The creative content of the video and how it relates to the theme has no limit but your imagination, as long as it's your original work. Every creative will have their own point of view, and you should of course interpret the theme however you want. Any genre (fiction, non-fiction, animation etc.) is encouraged.

Yes, feel free to shoot your video using any type of camera/device you wish.
Can I work with my friends or production team?
Collaborate with as many people as you want! Please note that if you win, you will need to designate one person from the team to represent the group on the trip to New York City. This one person will be credited on all materials and releases from the Academy.

The 2024 Theme is "Stand Up for Peace - Building Dialogue & Understanding".
The 1-minute video competition is free to enter and open to Non-American Citizens, aged 18-29 (Dual Citizens are eligible). The 2024 competition opened June 27, 2024 and closed September 19, 2024. Public online is now closed. Winners will be announced soon.
